Turn-ons: Stephanie, real intelligence (pseudo intellectuals annoy me), female golfers
(when did they suddenly get so hot!), chicks who wear glasses and/or hoop earrings
and/or leather, female guitar players or violin players, nurses, waitresses and Teri
Hatcher.
Turn offs: Egos, extreme liberalism, following trends, pessimism and mean, unpleasant
people
Favorite foods: Ribeye steaks (medium rare), tater tot hot dish, pretty much anything
with ground beef in it. Hamburger Helper rocks!
Favorite drinks: Water with lemon, cabernet/merlot blends, Oktoberfest beers, milk
First Bass: This is no lie. I wanted to play bass so bad that I took an old Sears guitar
that my friend gave me when he got a new guitar, filed the nut slots a bit wider and
strung it up with four “E” strings. I played that piece of shit for nearly a year and thought it
was the coolest thing in the world!
Current Gear:
Basses: 2001 Hamer Standard (explorer) “Grinderized” with two EMG active pickups
(this thing has been banned in 32 states, it’s so lethal), 2003 Hamer SFX, 2006 BC Rich
Platinum Warlock , Ibanez Soundgear 5-string and a 2007 American Made Fender
Jazz I use Rotosound Round Wound Strings only. Nothing else measures up. I use
only the finest picks: Clayton .63. I have never once broken one. They have the best feel
of any pick I have ever used.
My Road Ready Rack includes a Fruman M-8L Power Conditioner, a Gallien Krueger
1001 RB II head, a Korg DTR-2000 tuner and a Sennheiser Wireless set up
My speaker cabinets: One Gallien Krueger 410 SBX Plus and a Gallien Krueger 115 SBX
Effects: I use effects very sparingly, but when I do, I use a Boss BF-2 Flanger, Boss
ODB-3 Bass Overdrive, Boss CEB-3 Bass Chorus.
Favorite Music Store: LaVonne Music in Burnsville. You won’t find nicer people
anywhere! Nice goes a long way.
